The Cadillac LYRIQ features outstanding future-forward technologies, including a massive 30-inch curved display. Drivers can use the touchscreen, Google-enabled voice commands, or a click wheel, easily within reach on the center console, to use the system. Apple CarPlay©, Android Auto™, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a premium 19-speaker audio system are all standard features. Tesla infamously offers all vehicle settings and adjustments through a tablet-like touchscreen with limited tactile buttons to adjust a few settings. Additionally, the Tesla Model Y does not have Apple CarPlay© or Android Auto™. The BMW IX and Audi Q8 e-tron offer similar connected features, but the better sound systems and Wi-Fi hotspots typically cost more.

The Cadillac LYRIC is equipped with an impressive list of standard driver assistance and safety technology similar to top competitors, but only the LYRIQ has GM's available Super Cruise hands-free driving. While Tesla offers their hands-free driving technology, Autopilot, in the Tesla Model Y, the system is not as autonomous as it claims. Other competitors, like the BWM IX, have their own version of hands-free highway driving, but the Audi Q8 e-Tron only offers basic features like adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning.

The Cadillac LYRIQ has a 102.0 kilowatt-hour battery (larger than the Tesla Model Y), which delivers over 300 miles of range. Although the BMW IX and Audi Q8 e-tron have larger batteries, the BMW only gets 17 more miles of range in ideal conditions, and the Audi struggles to make it to 300 miles per charge. The standard powertrain setup for the Cadillac LYRIQ is a 340-horsepower electric motor with rear-wheel drive. An optional 500-horsepower setup with all-wheel drive is an available upgrade for even faster acceleration times.

There are several convenient ways to charge the Cadillac LYRIQ, which has fast-charging capabilities, regenerative braking technology to provide a trickle charge during driving, and an Energy Assist function through the infotainment system to help manage charging levels and find nearby charging stations on the go. With the included portable charger, the Cadillac LYRIQ can recharge at a rate of 21 miles of range per hour through a 7.7-kilowatt plug or 31 miles per hour of charge through an 11.5-kilowatt connection. At a public DC fast charging station, the LYRIQ can regain 77 miles of range in just 10 minutes and fully recharge in around 40 minutes.
